Vanya Menken is a designer with a strong focus on illustration and graphics based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
After studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (The Hague) in the direction of textile and fashion design Vanya continued studying at the Rietveld Academy (Amsterdam) in the direction of Audio Visual where she explored the notion of moving image and stills.

Central in her work is The In Between, a world created in night- and daydreams. Like a meandering river she moves through her subconscious and follows her intuition. She listens to her dream experiences that brings her to mysterious and rural places. The elusive landscape is an important fascination and recurring phenomenon in her works.
