About me
I run a mall business making handmade lampshades but want to take it forwards to produce my own designs. I have a very varied background in both science and arts with a Geology MSc and Fashion Design Diploma. I am definitely passionate about Design and how things can be made. I am working on a project to design a lampshade that is made in a new way. The new method would incorporates a frame that comes apart and feeds into a machine sewn cover (knowing how many hours it can take to hand sew a shade and being fairly anti glues and unnatural materials). The design would reveal parts of the frame which would be a major feature and be very unlike the traditional lampshades we make. I am interested in any help with the direction to take this project or working on any other related projects.
