I currently work as editor on one of Lincolnshire’s leading voluntary-led magazines. I have also written as a guest blogger on grads.co.uk and the Contiki Six-Two blog, as well as running my own travel blog, victoriasvoyage.blog. I am also always open to taking on creative projects, and previous work includes book and report typesetting, and producing marketing materials for both businesses and events for a range of clients. My most recent work was on a secondary school book and corresponding catalogue for a local exhibition celebrating the contributions of immigrants to our community, which was great fun and very rewarding.
Outside of work, one of my life’s ambitions is to write a novel or a collection of short stories, as creative writing has always been a passion of mine. I would also like to continue solo travelling across the world to further expand my horizons and gain more life experience. I enjoy journaling, playing video games and I'm an active supporter of the WWF.
Projects
- A Town Called HomeI worked with local company The Equality Practice on this project, all about immigrants who moved to North East Lincolnshire and celebrating their contributions to the community. I transcribed a number of recorded interviews with the subjects, and turned their stories into a book aimed at secondary school students, to help raise awareness of the positive aspects of immigration.

VOXX is a lifestyle magazine covering the North East Lincolnshire and Humberside area. My work involves planning content, liaising with my team of volunteer writers, sub-editing their articles and designing the pages to put them on, as well as arranging and carrying out interviews, and arranging gig tickets and review streams with various PR agents. I am also tasked with promoting the project and managing our websites.
I have also begun to build a successful reputation in graphic design and marketing. Projects include promotion and branding for multi-functional venue The Warehouse, and for local events “Sound of Cleethorpes” and “Freeman Street Festival.” I also produce regular reports for a client and have designed and published a number of books, including a biography of a famous Grimsby swimmer, and most recently an educational book for secondary school children about immigration and life in other countries, a topic particularly close to my heart.
