Duties
• Implementation of strategic HR initiatives in line with The Drum’s corporate strategy.
• Supporting and advising line managers and employees regarding all HR issues ensuring a neutral attitude and legal compliance when advising and recommending HR options.
• Overall management and responsibility of Personnel and Human Resources including employment law, implementing and updating HR policies, Employment Contracts, Employment Briefs, Health & Safety rights and procedures, recruitment and induction.
• Recruitment across all aspects of the business from commercial to editorial, large head count growth including expansion into U.S.
• Leading any significant change management activities.
• Keeping accurate and up-to-date personnel details, payroll and salary information, holiday tracking, absence and sickness, document uploads in HRIS.
• Monitoring talent and performance management via appraisal system
• Responsible for staff training, development plans and implementation of L&D activities for all staff, including accelerated programme for key team members.
Office & HR Manager

• Employee Relations and employment law: advising and guiding managers on performance, conflict, potential grievance and legislative updates
• Recruitment: writing job, advert and person specs, interview guidelines, offer letters and contracts, welcome pack and doing induction
