I was asked by Velvit Vault, 'a concept-store and gallery specializing in dark art, whether it be fashion, fine art, music' created by Jaimie Lake, to illustrate a feature and several spot illustrations for their first exhibition held in Chicago called Yin. I also pitched a design for the exhibition logo. With the success of the first collection of illustrations and typography, I was then invited to design the logo for their next exhibition, Yang, as well as submit a collection of illustrations to be sold and featured on their online store.
During London Fashion week and Graduate Fashion week, I worked as a fashion illustrator for the Fashion Scout and Graduate blog teams. I documented the week with live illustrations, depicting the week from both catwalk and backstage. These drawings would then be published on the blog the following day. Three of my illustrations from Fashion Scout AW13/14 were selected as Runner Up for the V&A Illustration Awards 2014.
As part of a national project working with the Tate, a team of all female students worked with the Nottingham Castle and artist Jo Wheeler to curate an exhibition around the theme of love. Given a selection of works from the Tate and Arts Council archives mixed with the Castle's own archive, we branded and curated an exhibition that we called STRIPPED, stemmed from the vulnerability of love and emotion. Within this exhibition, we also organised two events with comedy duo Robin and Partridge, as well as create a film interacting with the community in Nottingham.
