About me
Hi there,
I am a senior digital designer with a good sense of typography, combining in my practice both traditional design processes and ground-breaking generative (computational) approach – a discipline on the edge of visual communications, creative coding and technology. It has been already became a paradigm among creative industry nowadays, especially towards data visualisation, dynamic corporate identity as well as interactive projects and installations.
Along with my official career (10+ years), mainly related to advertising and printing, I have been collaborated as a freelancer on over 60 projects with a variety of Russian and European studios and digital agencies, developing online applications based on FLASH / ActionScript3 and and its integration through XML / PHP / MySQL.
In most recent years, due to the FLASH technology passing away, shifted to JavaScript / HTML5 and its frameworks like Three.JS, Raphaël.JS, D3.JS, as well as Processing, openFrameworks and physical computing platforms (Arduino, Raspberry PI, etc.)
In addition to that, I have excellent skills in 3D modelling and visualisation with Rhinoceros3D – a package for 3D modelling and visualisation,
a golden standard for product design – and rendering engines like V-Ray.
In addition to that, I am using this package for designing prototypes for laser cutting and 3D printing.
I don't have neither UK nor EU citizenship, the potential employer should provide work permit, while I could take all expenses for making it.

Projects
- TransmutationsThis project is about sound as a form of energy. It reveals its physical dynamic nature by colliding two worlds together — audio and visual, exploring sound transformation through the linking physical parameters of tunes and colours, transferring sound wave into image making machine. Be aware, the outcome is not about sounds of energy, it’s about energy within sound; so images and sounds I have used in my work don’t play any matter at all, it could be replaces by anything. In other words, paraphrasing famous Marshall McLuhan quote — the application’s process is, actually, a message. Drone samples are taken from Grendel Drone Commander manufacturer site.

An interactive project for solving a problem of showcasing CC books without CC licence for their covers. During several months of collaboration a number of layout systems were designed to take book metadata (number of pages, publication year, category) and turn them into beautiful covers.
I have designed and implemented a variety of book cover grids and layouts, typeface pairings as well as done some extensive coding in JavaScript.
