Projects
  • The Antikrist
The AntikristPersonal research project "The Antikrist" . In this book, the story and therefore the explanation wasn’t given . I did this because I wanted the readers of the book to think openly about the book, the story behind it and the individual photos . The bible verses I chose are related to the photos that they are written next to . These important verses can be hints as to what happened in the photos . I did manage to finish this project by experimenting with photo techniques and testing different met
  • Sounds Visual: Trojan Records
Sounds Visual: Trojan RecordsThis was a team project with Kamila Ossawicka, Joise Betteley-Pond, Luca Bowles and Sii Soe. We were a group of five and each group was assigned to a record label . Our tasks involved in creating a box set of 6 vinyl records (12 x 12 inches) from Trojan Records label founded in 1968 who specialised in ska, rocksteady, reggae and dub music. We focused on their types of music and their audience mainly . We used a laser cutting machine from our Camberwell University to produce a cut out cover of vinyl records box set .
  • Weekly time spent with six electronic devices
Weekly time spent with six electronic devicesFDA second year students were asked to create A1 information design poster . My chosen 6 items were 6 electronic items including laptop, headphone, mobile, mouse, iPOD and external HDD that I used weekly .
  • Richard Serra: Journal of Contemporary Art
Richard Serra: Journal of Contemporary ArtStudents of second year FDA graphic design were given the brief to design A5 booklet using the interview text and the images of chosen artist . My chosen artist was "Richard Serra" . I analysed Richard Serra’s work very carefully by reading some of his books and visiting his most recent exhibition at Gagosian gallery . For this project I decided to focus more on a book design than typography in general . I made a 3D booklet that can present the artists’ works both inside and between the physical pages of the booklet . I found this project to be a completely new and experimental experience where I forced myself out of my comfort zone, I did this by testing out many ideas but ultimately landing on the unusual 3D booklet .
  • D&AD Competition brief 2015: Pantone Yangon city
D&AD Competition brief 2015: Pantone Yangon cityReimagining my hometown (Yangon, Myanmar) through the language of the colour . The competition brief for Pantone (D&AD new blood awards 2005) . The concept for this brief was mainly based on Myanmar’s capital language alphabet . I made a custom font for Yangon City for the use of commercial branding. Two symbols which I feel represent Yangon City firstly, the river(Yangon River) and secondly, the old colonial building pillars .
  • Manhattan Mono Film Festival
Manhattan Mono Film FestivalIn this unit, I was given a task to design a booklet for the Manhattan Mono Film Festival, which is a 3 day event in Central park, New York featuring classic comedy silent films such as Babes in Toyland, The General, safety last! and Modern Times . I used a yellow colour to remind people of New York’s busy Manhattan and also the New York Taxi’s colour . There were some strict rules and limitations to follow to create the booklet such as only the use of 2 Pantone coated colours and only the use of pictures and context that our tutor provided . I experimented with my own customized shapes/font .

    Intern Junior Graphic DesignerOgilvy
     -
Since completing my FDA in graphic design in June 2015, I have been working as an intern graphic designer at Ogilvy Healthworld for 7 months, this came to an end in January 2016. Ogilvy Healthworld, is part of Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide, the largest global health-marketing network with over 65 offices across 36 countries. Ogilvy employs a global team of over 200 staff, making Ogilvy one of the most ambitious healthcare marketers. Whilst at Ogilvy, I developed creative concepts and design works which included both online (websites, mobile, applications, eLearning solutions, emails, digital advertising) and offline (brochures, POS motion graphics). I worked with the Creative Director and senior designers along with the studio manager. In addition, I also worked alongside the Strategy, creative and UX departments within Ogilvy Healthworld to develop innovative, viable and creative solutions under their direction, whilst working at Ogilvy this helped me to evolve my ability in following company standards and ensuring adherence to specific brand guidelines whilst working together with internal resources, suppliers and clients to deliver valuable results. During my time at Ogilvy, my roles involved producing designs that developed my imagination and flair, whilst also allowing me the ability to share design concepts with the team and feeding back through verbal presentations, scamps, sketches and communicating daily regarding the current project status with our project managers.
