A young creative, freelance writer and curator currently based in London. An enthusiast in fashion, dance and arts, who reviews art and writes on cultural issues of our time while documenting the world through images. Interned for the period of T.H.E CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival 2015, a festival organised annually by the dance company. Responsibilities involved managing the social media campaigns, facebook pages of the company and festival, the festival website (Wordpress); media and press publicity and archiving media coverage. Involved with the coordination of editorial materials for the festival magazine, an inaugural publication including features and interviews of festival artists. Marketing, Communications and Engagement intern for The O.P.E.N Festival (pre-festival of ideas) and Singapore International Festival of Arts 2015, presented by The Arts House Ltd, Singapore. Worked closely with the director of The O.P.E.N Festival Noorlinah Mohammed, on creating editorial content and writings for the collateral for both the pre- and main festival; and the co-director of TheatreWorks, Tay Tong, on the opening reception of the festival, managing VIP and guests lists, invitations and tickets. Other responsibilities include: copy-editing, transcription, Chinese-English translation for festival collaterals, press coverage and marketing efforts (corporate sales, education outreach and sponsors). BA (Honours) Culture, Criticism and Curation is part of the Culture and Enterprise programme at Central Saint Martins, offering a very wide-ranging, humanities-based arts education. Content spans the history and theory of art, design, architecture, fashion, film, popular culture, performance, media and literature - all of which are interrelated. Critical thinking, research, intellectual rigour and creative problem solving are at the core of the degree course. Currently the course representative of my cohort and part of The Curation Society in UAL.
