Hi! I'm Mimi (Weiyin) Jiao, a current third year student studying Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins (UK) and Carnegie Mellon University (US). I am interested in using design to create platforms for people of different minorities and cultures to speak up. By actively decolonizing my perspectives through learning and unlearning, I want to introduce non-Euro/North American-centric design conventions, techniques, and philosophies into our current visual culture to bring to light the voices and cultures of those who have been silenced through colonialism.
