Visual artist and designer, focused on photography, experimental filmmaking and book-making. Szymanek is interested in editorial and reportage photography; documenting passing moments in a hectic city; as well as and creating sets that explore the human relationship with objects and their affordances. Her films explore ideas of chance, experimental editing and deconstruction of narrative.
Szymanek is experienced in curating and organising exhibitions, as well as designing and self-publishing photography zines. She has extensive experience working with analogue film.
With a background in fine art and design, Szymanek is looking to extend her practice to more commercial projects; namely creative direction and working in fashion imaging and publishing.
