As this is a freelancer role I only work as part of the audience team as and when I am available. This role involves me working within a team, managing audiences for TV shows that are filmed in TV Studios around London. These shows can range from Strictly Come Dancing to Celebrity Juice. Each show is different so I am given different job roles depending on what show it is, for example, scanning tickets or audience ushering. Ultimately, audience satisfaction is key.
Assisting the talent researcher team during the early audition stage. Welcoming and dealing with contestants, keeping them updated throughout the day. Making sure contestents have filled in the correct paperwork and completing any tasks given to me by the team.
Assisting the 2nd Assistant Director with various tasks. Helping to manage the audience and looking after celebrity guests appearing on the programme. Giving information to all crew and cast members throughout the day.
Scanning tickets and made sure the audience enjoyed their evening every week. With held the VIP guest list welcoming them to the studios. Other duties included cleaning and tidying the production work place as well as the studio itself.
I would be on set standing in place for the celebrities or guests on the show before they arrive interacting in the show. These opportunities allowed me to see what the atmosphere is like in a fully working studio environment. It was a fantastic experience as I got to work on shows such as: Catchphrase, ITV1, October 2014, 3 days Take Me Out, ITV1, November 2014, 4 days Safe Word, ITV2, July 2015, 2 days
Serving customers, advising them on the perfume and aftershave products we sell with a positive and friendly attitude. I successfully completed a detailed module in fragrance training which enables me to serve customers with the correct knowledge, resulting in achieving 100% positive feedback from all mystery shoppers. Handling money is an important responsibility within this role. I achieve personal targets when given and maintain the working environment alongside other colleagues. My four years at The Fragrance Shop has taught me a lot about customer service, that it is vital all customers are satisfied with their experience in store and leave with the confidence that they will return.
Taught at Maidstone TV Studios, this practical course has offered me the unique opportunity to study television production in one of the UK’s leading TV studios. Working on the high-profile TV shows made at the Maidstone TV Studios, and networking with leading industry professionals, it has given me the chance to develop my skills and gain a real understanding of the sector. Using the latest industry-standard equipment and facilities, including Sony HD solid-state cameras and taught on software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects and Pro-Tools, I've learnt advanced TV production techniques and a strong knowledge base that covers every aspect of the media industry. Since studying I have completed script writing, direction, producing, sound design, camera work, commissioning and more. Alongside this I have continued to be a course representative and frequently speak on behalf of the student body at course board meetings and events.
The course developed my practical and theory media skills in a variety of ways such as essay writing or filming my own projects assisted by industry professionals. I developed my own video, audio, animation and multimedia productions using high-quality, industry standard equipment. Producing my own short films and experimental videos inspired me to further my education in media at a university level.
