Duties and Responsibilities: • Designing briefs: producing unique work within strict client brand guidelines and using client supplied style guides. (Magazines, graphic novel, books, posters adverts, brochures, web banners.) • Designing for major licenses including The BBC, LUCASFILM, Universal Studios, Warner Bros, Cartoon Network, DC Universe, EA and many more. • Liaising directly with major licensor’s such as DreamWorks, Bongo (The Simpsons), Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon to name but a few. • Designing work allocated by Studio Manager to an exceptionally high standard. • Project management. • Design and layout of commercial publications (digital and print), advertisements and a range of marketing and promotional materials. • Supporting other designers with projects. • Completing all projects within deadline and budgetary limitation. • Designing and merchandising product stands at industry trade exhibitions worldwide such as Comic-Con, London Book, Toy Fair and many more. • Photographing products for various publications. • Providing web ready images of all merchandise products. • Creating high-quality, print-ready artwork; packaging, flight-checking and correcting artwork prior to print, checking printer’s proofs. • Assisting in the smooth running of the studio under guidance from the Studio Manager, with such tasks as, back-up CD filing & tracking. • Logging jobs onto Filemaker in the studio job-logging directory.
