Working for Real Flame I accrued many vital skills of administration in an office environment whilst adapting my previous experience and learning a tremendous amount about the fireplace industry in order to perform my key role to the best of my abilities. Supporting the team around me meant I had to be highly organised in order to maintain the office and keep everything running smoothly and on time. That included such tasks as:
Being in charge of the Quickbooks accounting software
Monitoring the incoming and outgoing of goods
Constant managing of limited warehouse space
Liaising with suppliers to make sure the right things came in at the right times
Managing accounts payable
Ordering stock when needed
Taking money from clients and processing all incoming funds
Creating sales orders, purchase orders and invoices
Booking in work over the phone with clients
Stock takes and managing inventory
Running reports
Managing and maintaining the customer database
All company filing
Website content management
Managing company ebay account
Maintenance and upkeep of the showroom
Reconditioning old stock, damaged items and antique pieces.
Serving clients in the showroom in during busy periods
Putting together Christmas window displays
