Without being frightened to try something new my ease of adapting to new environments is a high. Whilst being happy to work individually, my talent shines through when working in a team. Great interpersonal skills allow me to build, manage and work well with a broad range of people; management, clients and colleagues. This is where my conscientious work ethic allows me to thrive and answer briefs to their fullest. I believe my organisational skills allow me to manage my time effectively to reach deadlines, and through relentless determination, produce not only aesthetically pleasing outcome, but ones that communicate the messages they intended to properly. Outside of work I always look to keep creating; setting my own briefs, working on design competitions and providing a freelance design service. I also like to keep fit and play a range of instruments. Relaxed socialising and taking in the cultural environment is an important aspect of life in order to recharge and reinvigorate my creative process.
My time at StrawberryToo saw me develop from a post-graduate creative into a Senior position during my placement. During my time at the studio I was able to get a great insight into the design industry as well as time to further my skills and mature into the position I earned. I personally dealt with briefs from clients which varied from start-ups and small to medium sized businesses, whilst also representing the studio for events and pitches.
Working as a Junior Designer on placement, I was involved in the creative development for print and digital projects whilst dealing with important clients such as Canada Life and Hilton Hotels.
August 2011 - June 2015 (4 years, 10 months) My responsibilities were to lessen work loads for management and prove myself as a developing employee, leading my team at the front line/registers during the busiest hours. The job role meant I was accountable for organising/supporting all other associates, managing money and controlling stock levels.
