Xiaoling Jin (XIAOLING) is an award-winning interdisciplinary creative whose practice focuses on the intersection of fashion, design & technology.
She had been described as “amongst those creatives who are radically transforming a system that is no longer working, conveying thought-provoking messages through their work, and are in the forefront of the technological evolution accelerating the creation of parallel worlds, where even garments are shaped with pixels, and the communication between those who make fashion and those who consume it is more immediate and direct”.
Her practice focuses on bespoke fashion, fashion in the metaverse, the future of garment technology, and building a bridge between the digital and physical worlds. Applying her expertise in draping, pattern cutting, and 3D modeling; her work explores self-expression, identity, emotional landscapes, form, community & sustainability in the physical world as well as the metaverse.

- Valley of Baca, 2022This work is exhibited in REA! art fair with Artsted, Red-eye world, and Gloriamaria gallery. I feel isolated in an empty and silent pit of despair. I'm walking on the cloud, without feeling the weight of myself, hearing my voice and seeing myself. In the darkness, I open my eyes. - MIRARITO WONDER This work has been exhibited at the Volta art fair, deeep AI art fair. MIRARI is the digital film Xiaoling created in response to the pandemic. She tries to build an emotional connection between the designer and the customer by letting them take part in the design process. - Under the ShellWhen I bear the shade, consciousness lights a newer world. When I touch my skin, they breathe, and I feel at ease. When I listen to the language of space, the message is infinity. When I open my eyes, a moment of the future is glimpsed. UNDER THE SHELL- The story follows the chapters Restrain, Quest, Perceive, Demolish and Rebuild. ITS Contest 2022 Digital Fashion Winner.
A compelling and very unique aesthetic point creates a fabulous feeling of involvement, comfort, and fantasy. Each character is depicted in minute detail and is clearly and closely linked to the concept. Similar to a “tableau vivant”, a series of interactive, fully 3D paintings invite the audience to interact with its characters. It made me yearn to enter into their world if only this were possible. Immersive and surreal artwork that puts emphasis on the environment of the fashion creations. Very impressive conceptual consideration behind the components of the aesthetic system.G
