Born in 1992 in Saint-Etienne (France), Yannis Mouhoun takes part in the edition of several outlets of internet media (radios & magazines) while studying politics. Self-taught and perfectionistic in his works, he develops affinities for the audiovisual arts and starts focusing on photography, writing, directing, as well as composing his own music.
In December 2015, he kickstarts his directing career with the release of a first short movie dedicated to combativity, “The Fighters”, and gets noticed for his emotional and engaging storytelling. A few months later, he goes further with the developing and directing of a second short film revolving around creativity, “Sparks of Genius”, and then takes on acting for his third film, “Together”, on top of directing; in a fresco depicting absolute and unconditional love. Mouhoun composes, records and mixes all the soundtracks of his works. His style, epically aesthetic, more often than not gets his short films classified as “visual poems”. In 2016, he goes on a journey of 45 days through 9 European countries resulting in the publication of a photo series getting widespread media coverage, “Europa”. He releases a political short, "Voices for Europe", in 2017.
Mouhoun's work has been views by 1+ million viewers online and has been featured on Konbini, Fubiz & The Huffington Post.

- EuropaA photo serie For 40 days we travelled around Europe. We saw dozens of smiles, heard hundreds of voices. We celebrated the human mind and saved some time to contemplate nature and its wonders. We drove fast. We missed flights. We drank fine wine and terrible beer. We got a glimpse of something so vast we couldn’t believe we got there being so small. We kind of lost ourselves; but then we found a better, brighter path to follow.
