About me
I’m always searching for ways to be original, reach new audiences and deliver out of this world engagement figures! Keeping up with industry trends and developments is something I truly enjoy as I’m always wanting to change ideas into action. For a bit of background about me, I first developed my skills in a Digital Marketing Assistant role at a specialist B2B communications company after graduating with a First-class degree in Media and Communication Studies from Birmingham City University. I then became Marketing Coordinator for Showsec International Limited. With a personal love for the arts, campaign management and content creation, I have worked as Communications Officer at Curve Theatre since May 2019. All of my experience has revolved around developing marketing strategy and securing long term growth. In my most recent role, I confidently work with budgets to create engaging, imaginative and suitable campaigns to meet sales targets. Tone, messaging and channels vary for each production and their audiences meaning no two campaigns are ever the same! Campaign activity includes; sponsored and organic social media, organising and overseeing photo-shoots/video production, tailored e-shots, print, distribution, direct mail, mapping outdoor activity, copywriting and implementing digital ads. With my role, I develop professional relationships with visiting companies to implement valuable marketing campaigns whilst monitoring and understanding the finances and deal. Here, I also work with local businesses, bloggers and influencers to enhance the success of the campaign. My responsibilities also include presenting and analysing activity at weekly sales meetings and constantly reviewing the marketing approach and goals. This also means that I am constantly identifying high impact opportunities, prioritising activity and evaluating results every step of the way. Creating engaging content for the company website, press opportunities and to be shared across social media channels has been a huge passion of mine throughout all of my previous roles. I'm always looking at new angles to make a story the most exciting and newsworthy it can be! Adding to this, producing e-flyers, print newsletters and direct mail for segmented databases has always been a task that I have enjoyed - I also introduced Curve's weekly newsletter at the beginning of 2020. I have extensive experience in social media management and alongside posting across platforms through Social Report and Hootsuite, I also recognise the importance of regular analysis and reporting engagement. I am experienced in graphic design programmes and am quick to recognise digital trends to utilise. My roles have also included swiftly responding to customer queries and keeping track of the complaints process through social media and shared inboxes. With positions in B2B and the arts, I am a confident copywriter for a range of industries and audiences. From award entry submissions, press releases and blogs to whitepapers, social media posts and board reports - I can adapt my writing style to suit the desired messages. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I have been volunteering for two organisations: The Catapult Network and the Commonwealth Education Trust (CET). This is as I wanted to join a community to make a positive difference through collaboration. At Catapult, I have been working remotely on corporate marketing materials for their transport strand which has included writing case-studies and creating presentation slides. As the CET invests in teachers in lower income countries to ensure quality education for all, I've implemented a marketing campaign to raise the profile of the charity around the theme of 'HUMANITY'. This has involved developing the brand values and mission, introducing a newsletter, reviewing website performance with Google Analytics, writing a series of blog posts to raise their profile, gathering statistics for infographics and developing a Founders Club pack for additional support. I am a driven, passionate and energetic team member who is looking forward to a new challenge.
