About me
I'm Yasmin, a London-based designer originally from Belgium. My creative journey started in the world of fashion textiles, where I pursued my passion and obtained a foundation degree in fashion. However, along the way, I discovered my fascination for the academic aspects of product design, which ignited a new love for this field. What truly captivates me about product design is the opportunity to bring ideas to life in three-dimensional form. The ability to visualize and create tangible objects is both thrilling and fulfilling for me. I am continuously inspired by the intersection of art, technology, and functionality that product design offers. Interestingly, my diverse background also includes a nursing degree from Belgium. While seemingly unrelated, this experience has taught me invaluable skills in empathy, problem-solving, and effective communication. I believe that the combination of my nursing background and product design expertise will enable me to approach design challenges from a unique perspective, with a focus on improving the well-being and quality of life for individuals. Being based in London, a vibrant hub of creativity and innovation, provides me with constant inspiration and opportunities for growth. I am eager to contribute to the design community here and collaborate with like-minded individuals to push boundaries and create impactful solutions. In summary, my journey from fashion textiles to product design, coupled with my love for 3D design and my nursing background, has shaped me into a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for blending creativity, functionality, and human-centric design. I am excited to embark on new projects, explore innovative design approaches, and make a meaningful impact in the world of design.
