About me
If you're looking at this profile, then hopefully you're someone looking to work with of the most sought after creative talents this side of the Atlantic Ocean (according to my mum)! In all seriousness, I'm a freelance video editor & videographer who likes to dabble in content creation, narrative design and I've also got a decent amount of experience with social media & community managment. Quite the mixed bag, but it just means I've got all the more to give! I've been making content on YouTube for over 10 years (!) because it's what I love to do. Well, to be more specific, I just love the idea of getting whatever's in my head down onto paper or into a Premiere Pro project despite the amount of times it wants to crash... Anyway, I'm looking to find a more permanent media creation role, ideally in a sector that aligns with my interests - video games, esports and Japanese pop culture! If you're interested in any of those and are looking for someone with a lot of experience and a lot of passion (cliche, I know, but it's true!), then connect with me and let's make good things happen!

Interview with Nicole Rousmaniere (2019 Manga Exhibition @ The British Museum)HYPER JAPAN provided an opportunity to cover the Manga Exhibition that was being held at the British Museum late last year and I was able to get involved in a number of content production activities such as filming fashion designers & cosplayers, providing social media highlights and interviewing key people - such as Nicole Rousmaniere, the curator of the exhibition and foremost authority on all things related to Japanese culture.

I am responsible for producing content which goes out on all of HYPER JAPAN's social media channels, as well as coming up with ideas to improve the event and attract a larger audience. I also work on improving community relations between HYPER JAPAN and the smaller sub communities for the more niche aspects of Japanese culture, like fashion. I organise regular events for members of the community to meet with HYPER JAPAN staff and provide an opportunity for them to give us feedback which we use to help develop the event further, hand in hand with our fans.

    London, United KingdomFreelance
Working with a variety of clients in a content creation/production capacity. As far as video game related clients are concerned, this includes taking highlights from Twitch streams and condensing them down into videos appropriate for YouTube and marketing them properly so that they can accrue these most views possible in a 24 hour period (typically when a new video experiences the most growth). For other clients, my duties include content production advice, creative discussions, organising footage into sequences and producing rough cuts which are then refined into the final product to be released to an audience.

    Computer ScienceNewcastle University
     - Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
During the first two years of this degree, I studied general modules such as Programming, Algorithms, Software Engineering, Operating Systems and Web Design. These taught me the basic concepts of what a general Computer Scientist should be able to do. In my 3rd year, I specialised my degree into specific areas of interest such as computer games. I have studied various modules to do with game development such as programming and graphics as well as other areas which are interesting to me such as human-computer interaction and cryptography.

This is where I studied the IB for 6th Form. At Higher Level, I studied Computer Science, Philosophy and History and at Standard Level I studied English Literature, Mathematical Studies and Japanese ab initio. On top of these subjects, I also studied Theory of Knowledge - a subject which taught critical thinking on a completely different level by causing me question the concepts of information and knowledge on a fundamental level.
