Yewande YoYo Odunubi is a neurodivergent creative practitioner, working in the spaces between producing/curation, dance/performance, and research. Centring her practice around the mantra “I’m not here for a version of me, I’m here for every part of me” she is interested in intersectional frameworks and interventions that seek to rupture the dominant narratives within the arts. Powered by a black expansive imagination Yewande is invested in building environments across mediums that nurture and give space to meaningful and imaginative exchange.
Yewande is one half of the wayward, motile collaborative duo i.as.in.we with artist, curator and friend Rohan Ayinde. She frequently collaborates with London based art and music collectives; BBZ and Touching Bass and has worked with a range of cultural organisations including the 198 Contemporary, Institute of Contemporary Arts, A New Direction, Now Gallery, Southbank Centre, Tate and V&A. Yewande is currently finishing temporary role as Live Programme Producer at Wellcome Collection.
