Production Secretary on a new ITV prime time drama, Jekyll & Hyde. Assisting the Production Coordinator in the day to day running of the Production Office and the Production as a whole. Organising transport and accommodation for cast and crew. Completing and sending out Purchase Orders, communicating with external businesses for hire/purchasing necessities. Organising medicals for cast. Delegating responsibilities and task to Production Runners, ensuring that all cast and crew have the latest scripts/schedules/amendments etc. Ordering stationary and making sure that the production office stays clean and organised.
Coordinating the Production Office on BBCs 'Silent Witness'. Starting out as Prod Secretary I was promoted to the role when the original coordinator left. I was responsible for finding crew for additional daily work for all departments. Communicating with Movie Tech to hire additional camera and grip equipment. Taking care of the Production Diary, organising Production and Health and Safety meetings. Working closely with the Line Producer to ensure that the entire Production ran smoothly. Ensuring the smooth running of the Production Office and delegating responsibilities to the Production Secretary and Runner. Taking care of crew and cast accommodation and travel. Working closely with the casts' agents to ensure that schedules were received and that there were no clashes in the actors schedule.
iPlayer Shorts. Working in a very small Production Team (Line Producer, myself, and a trainee) to help create 3 short films for the launch of the new BBC iPlayer service. Covering the role of the Runner/Secretary/Locations Assistant/Camera Truck Driver/Unit Driver. Helping to run the Production Office while also carrying out multiple tasks and constantly being on the move. Getting in to the office at 0600 to help set up the catering and leaving the office at 2100/2200 to ensure all equipment is locked away safely.
Working for various production companies including: BBC / HAT TRICK PRODUCTIONS / WEINSTEIN COMPANY / WORKING TITLE / NEAL STREET PRODUCTIONS. Driving to and from set on a daily basis to hand out call sheets/sides. Pick up and drop off camera/grip/sound/lighting equipment. Filing/Photocopying all documents, including scripts/schedules/unit lists/cast lists. Assisting all departments when needed, organising taxis for cast and crew.
