  • Garden of forking paths
Garden of forking pathsThe installation explores perception, through a site-specific intervention that alters the physical, sensory and temporal experience of space and forces the viewer to slow down and think about their position inside the environment. The form of the installation resembles one of the most basic fractals, the ‘dragon curve’. We intentionally wanted to make it harder for the viewer to read – the installation must be observed from many sides thus calling into question the straight linearity which we h

  • SKY - video installation
SKY - video installationa 12k, 48 channel video installation for the ANDAZ Munich Schwabinger Tor Hotel in Munich. The sky is the most impeccable work of art that changes right before your eyes in an endless play of light and color. It is a reminder that beyond this planet of ours there is a limitless space of experiences - unopened and unrevealed. This installation is a hyper-realistic window to the Munich sky. The time lapse video footage was shot over a period of one year, on the roof of this hotel.

CHOBANI - Hush Studios NYC - interactive installationTHE GIVING TREE - INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION In collaboration with Hush Studios Yves Peitzner design directed the “Giving Tree” interactive installation for Chobani at the Grand Central Station in New York. Each visitor could plant a digital “seed” and watch it grow in the overhead tree canopy. For each seed planted, Chobani donated a case of yogurt to No Kid Hungry. This installation was created for the 10 year anniversary of Chobani Yoghurt, USA. Over 21.000 interactions were counted on the day
  • RESONANCE
RESONANCEWater is a source of life, yet it’s taken for granted. Imagine if water could speak. How would it sound? What would it say? Would you think of it differently? Resonance is an interactive audio-visual installation that aims to raise awareness about the elemental connection between humans and water. When you move your hand over the sensor, that movement creates waves on the surface of the digital water, while every wave, ripple, and change of color create music. Commissioned by the Tech Museum o
  • VANISHING PLACES
VANISHING PLACESThere is a relationship between shifting ways of seeing; Jelena Gregov and Yves Peitzner from Studio TISH are fascinated by how technological mediation can enable a different kind of vision. Us humans are at a moment in time when we are not only surprised by looking at new things, but we are also looking with a new pair of eyes enabled by technology. Vanishing Places is an audio-visual installation that investigates dialogues and tensions between the real and artificial. In keeping with the stud

The Lab YPL is a multidisciplinary collective. Our business model is built on the democratic principles of the internet – we function like a network between people, ideas, products, services, and content. Our core team is in charge of research, strategy, and design direction, while our creative and production departments are comprised of different collaborators. Each new team is selected according to the needs of a specific project. Bringing unconventional methods to experiential design, we have come up with a proprietary workshop process that is our creative playground for exploring experiences as a communication form. This allows us to collaborate closely with our clients and uncover compelling solutions to help achieve their unique goals and objectives. Yves Peitzner The Lab was founded in 2014 by Yves Peitzner, a German artist and creative director specialized in experiential design and interactive installations. Yves is driven by the idea of creating unique and innovative experiences that connect real life with digital. Yves studied art, design and filmmaking in London, where he also founded his first production company. Upon returning to Germany, he set up one of the first agencies for viral marketing and produced award-winning campaigns, installations, music videos and image films for brands and artists from around the world.
