Clay Boy Studio is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Bristol, UK. The creative process often merges traditional and digital techniques to create abstract collages & characters. Drawing inspiration from dreams, architecture, 90's adverts, psychedelia, punk posters & sci-fi book covers.     Specialising in design, branding, art direction, editorial direction for print & digital platforms. I work primarily within bristols underground nightlife and experimental arts scene. My process often merges traditional and digital techniques to create abstract collages & characters. I have worked on full rebrands for local shops, clubs and radio stations, such as Collector Cave (a HI-FI & record store specialising in jungle & DnB) & Void Radio Station. I’ve also designed assets for various experimental events promoters including SCHWET, SHFTD & CNCPT.

    Learnt to analyse and utilise site context and client demands to propose suitable designs. work effectively on both collaborative and individual assignments. Understand the construction process and create technical drawings for structures and components, with reference to the manufacturing process. Made regular presentations to practising architects throughout the design process, this required an effective response to feedback, clear concise presentation, speaking and an understanding of content layout to ensure the design was intelligible. Gained an adept knowledge of Adobe, Affinity and 3D modelling software. Outside of my studies, I took part in multiple extracurricular activities such as Stephanie Imbeau’s Arctic City Project, Volunteering at FACT Gallery and Tate Collective Liverpool.
