    Design EditorMAT_ER Magazine
    Birmingham, United KingdomFreelance
At the beginning of my 2nd year at University I was hand selected with one other student to create an innovative and original fashion magazine to be released by the University. This was a paid role where we would work in collaboration with a variety of di erent lecturers, industry professionals and students. Since we have started, we have recruited an additional 5 members. I was in charge of sourcing unique professionals and creatives to work in collaboration with us. I held interviews with world acclaimed photographer J Henry Fair, Turner Prize winners Assemble Studio and Granby 4 St, a deprived community in Liverpool where we aimed to bring to light the many hardships the Granby occupants have faced over the years. MAT_ER Magazine has pushed me to my creative boundaries. Having founded this magazine and seeing how far its progressed as well as collaborating with so many creatives from inside and outside of the University it has given me the opportunity to approach a traditional concept from a completely new perspective. It has taught me how to approach people from different backgrounds as well as coming up with innovative concepts.
