Whilst at Imogen Heath I assisted on a photo shoot - creating textured backdrops and props and assisted with the layout and composition of the fabrics to help the photographers get the right shot. Additionally I fulfilled customer orders, and was responsible for the correct dispatch of the fabrics - from cutting large pieces of fabric accurately to producing overlocked sample swatches to dispatch to potential customers. Other work included managing stock, organising and keeping the studio clean.

I competed a two week placement with the Romo Group, working for their brands Romo and Black Edition at their head office. Work included organising and updating sales boards, creating mood boards and colourway inspiration boards for the upcoming collections. Additionally I worked creatively and produced artwork which I then manipulated in CAD to create digital prints in a variety of colour ways.

For the Romo Live Competition, my team worked together to produce ‘Petalis’, an interior collection with a distinct mix of print, weave and embroidery, based upon the theme of cycles and life cycles within plants and nature. As a result of the high level of creativity and high standard of the work, our team won the competition and I was fortunate to be offered a placement.
