I hold a professional (NCTJ) qualification in Newspaper Journalism from Lambeth College and a first class degree in English and Sociology. I currently work as a freelance copywriter and journalist. My copywriting clients include organisations such as Oxford University, The Mountbatten Institute, Oxford Computer Consultants and The Knowledge Academy. I regularly help out with website text, event write-ups, staff and client profiles, brochure content and copy for conference packs. I also write articles and features for publications such as Natural Health, Talk Business, Bradt Travel Guides, IdeasTap, Vagabundo, Greenwich Visitor, and Forbes Travel (www.zoewrites.co.uk). In 2012, I was a finalist of The Independent on Sunday Travel/Bradt Writing Competition. In 2014, travel publishers, Bradt, included my travel writing in travel anthology, The Irresponsible Traveller: Tales of Scrapes and Narrow Escapes. I have two years experience working as a Reporter for Oxfordshire Guardian where I covered a wide range of stories from court cases to fundraising events. I also have one year's experience working as a Communications Support Officer at The British Red Cross where I managed the charity's internal and external communications for Hampshire, Surrey and Isle of Wight. I have developed the ability to produce accurate, concise and compelling text on a wide range of topics while continually working towards tight news deadlines. I am highly self-motivated and after having written for a wide range of corporate and media clients, I am now interested in committing myself to an in-house role.
In 2010, I completed the NCTJ in Newspaper Journalism at Lambeth College, one of the most highly ranked, top three providers of this course. I passed all modules: Media Law, Public Affairs, News Writing, Shorthand and Portfolio.
