Zoë Higgins

Art DirectorDublin, Ireland
About me
With a Fine Arts degree from NCAD, Zoë definitely has what it takes to be a first class art director. Her eclectic interests, off beat sense of humour and fantastic fashion sense, ensures that Zoë always delivers ideas and executions from outside of the metaphorical box. Zoë considers herself an international woman of mystery (she changes her hair colour every few months). So whether it’s a fruity plum, an emerald green, a fiery red or a gothic black, you can be sure she will keep you on your toes.
Projects
  • Nissan Leaf
Nissan LeafEveryone knows that the Nissan LEAF is good for the environment, so why are they still not fully committing to 100% electric? Because they have range anxiety, they know that electric will improve and finally they are content with settling for something that might go half way; a Hybrid. But thanks Hybrid, we can take it from here.

McDonalds Student Leap Card DealYour room is cold and small. Your roommates are an absolute nightmare and one lectrurer keeps piling on the essays. Student life really is the worst. But there is no need to worry when McDonald's is ready to give you a burgery hug whenever you feel a bit emojional. You know, when you just can't cope and the english language isn't a thing

Work history
    Art Director
    Dublin, IrelandInternship
I have been working as part of a team (ZümiCreative, with my partner Naomi Warren) as an intern Art Director in Huskies for 6 months. In our time here we have worked on brands such as Nissan, Smurfit Kappa, Failte Ireland, Frank and Honest, ALIV, eFlow, GAA, Fyffes, VHI, LowLow. From the start we have been working on both pitches and campaigns. We have our own campaign for the Nissan Leaf, including a widely successful print campaign, social, digital, TV, radio and an outdoor activation which is set to be undertaken in the next month. We also have a campaign for the Micra and Note, which is currently running. We have worked on TV, radio and print ads for the new mobile phone network, ALIV, based in the Bahamas. We are currently waiting to hear if our campaign pitch for eFlow was successful and are due to hear back soon. We have a large range of skills and brand experience and are eager to learn more and advance our careers in the industry.

Education
    Creative Advertising MSc
     - Dublin, Ireland
This course was extremely engaging and intensive. In this I learned the process of advertising and set me up to try and make it as an Art Director in the real world. The course covered art direction, copywriting, production, sound editing, design, strategy and all other elements of advertising marketing. As part of the course we were split into two teams and pitched for a client; Connacht Gold Low Fat Butter. My team won the pitch with an engaging and charming campaign about two best friend cows. My thesis was about the use of social media by the elderly.
    Level 7
     - Dublin, Ireland
This was a 10 week starter course in graphic design, in which I learned some of the basics and processes of graphic design.
