In this role I worked with the Production Manager and Executive Producers daily; uploading and downloading FTPS, handling freelances and our in-house artists, researching for new and current projects, expenses, liaising with clients, managing the departments’ diary and scheduling meetings. I also cover the PA for the joint MD’s of film when needed; looking after international travel.
In my role on reception I managed multiple rooms and diaries, using CETA daily to book our resources and cost charges. I learned a variety of in-house skills and requirements of myself; managing multiple rooms and diaries, using CETA daily to book our resources and cost charges, oversaw and maintained the issuing of security passes as well as doing stock checks and ordering stationary when needed. In addition to this I also assisted with various departments such as Creative, Digital, Research and Sales departments - assisting with treatments and briefs.
I was invited to join VCCP for their one week Ad School. The group and I were given a live brief from one of their clients which we had to pitch to senior members alongside the client at the end of the week. Throughout the week I was able to shadow and learn about the different dynamics of an advertising agency; specifically with the creative and research department.
During my placement at Bright Spark Advertising I worked alongside senior members who have previously worked at Ogilvy & Mather, J Walter Thompson and WCRS. I was based within the Creative and Research department where I pro-actively made research packets for new and existing projects, conducted market research and created PowerPoint presentation and mood boards which were presented in internal and external meetings.
After my week work experience in February 2013 I was given a part time role within Framestore working as a runner and also on reception whist at university. This has allowed me to network with many different people internally within Framestore and also a range of different clients and agencies.
