Description

You eat, sleep and dream sport and you're always tuned into games or keeping up with what's happening in the sports world. You're the type to flip to the sports section of the newspaper before anything else, and you often have sports news playing in the background while you go about your day. You're constantly checking online for updates and insights about your favourite teams and athletes. What you'll do:
  • Assist in the delivery of priority 360 campaigns for Sky Sports content and key sport moments, collaborating with influencer and social teams.
  • Draft media alerts, talent briefing documents and campaign presentations to support wider communications team.
  • Tracking and reporting of media coverage for PR announcements and campaigns, including owning the media evaluation end of campaign process.
  • Daily circulation of key news stories from the industry and key sports journalists to business stakeholders.
  • Manage the Sky press inbox and inbound media enquiries, providing routine information and referring queries to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop a wealth of junior media contacts across national, digital, and vertical sports contacts.
  • Own team media lists and updates to the media engagement tracker (salesforce).
  • Manage invoicing and budget tracking for the team.
  • Responsibility for sourcing and distributing merchandise for internal and external use (staff, VIP gifts, charity auctions, media).
  • Ownership of consumer engagement award entries and bookings.
  • Support on events, including guestlist management and onsite activity.
  • Administrative activities as required, including booking transport, raising purchase orders, tracking budget, and pulling together material for meetings.
  • Being part of an on-call rota to support out of hours media enquiries.
What you’ll bring
  • A real passion for watching sport and live events.
  • A strong knowledge base across a wide variety of sports, those broadcast on Sky Sports preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on multiple workstreams at once with a can do, team first attitude.
  • Appetite to work in a fast-paced environment alongside a great team.
  • A solution orientated approach to every day.
  • Ability to efficiently manage your to do list and team tasks, prioritise responsibilities and meet key deadlines.
  • Experience in writing media facing copy, and familiarity with PowerPoint design.
  • Experience in a sport, media or entertainment-based role or degree is a bonus.
  • Understanding of sports broadcast landscape preferred.
