  • Champion the domain with full understanding of underlying technology, influencing technical direction and partnering with Architecture.
  • Own the short, medium and long-term roadmap for one or more squads, driving prioritization and striking a balance between new capabilities, sustain requirements, platform improvements, and reporting/monitoring capabilities.
  • Together with your engineering partner, be an effective leader to build a high performing team.
  • React to operational issues, either customer or technical, and prioritise remedial action as appropriate to avoid poor customer experience or internal inefficiencies.
  • Generate ideas championing an outcome driven approach, comprehensively exploring options and using data to resolve ambiguity.
  • Triangulate multiple signals using data tools to generate insights, communicate hypotheses to wider audience and share learnings from both successes and failures.
  • Concise and effective communication with team providing context and strategy, upholding tech and business OKRs.
  • Develop relationships to regularly engage, communicate, and influence peers and business partners through clear, confident presentation making technical complexities easy to understand.
  • Execute with limited direction coordinating with partners across the business using data and insights to make timely decisions when needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience of app based products
  • Worked in a fast-paced technical environment where you’ve had to think on your feet and bring people together to problem solve
  • Led a full-stack team or led delivery coordination across multiple teams
  • Evidence of customer centric thinking through insights, data and experimentation
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Agile frameworks, writing user stories, setting sprint goals and collaborating with teams on acceptance criteria
  • Analytical thinking and decision making, able to weigh up conflicting priorities and make the right decision using a balance of qual and quant data inputs
  • Experience in travel industry or a marketplace could be beneficial
Additional Information
Why should you jump on board?
We want our people to stretch their minds, abilities, and share their knowledge. Each year we hold The Trainline Tech Summit, which provides Trainliners with an opportunity to stand up and share their story, learnings, or new skills with their colleagues in a safe environment.
We've always paid special attention to flexible working as we value a strong work/life balance. The pandemic has taught us that a balance between remote working and being in a collaborative office environment leads to productive teams.
