The A Side: A Day in The Life
To create, deliver and manage outstanding and profitable marketing campaigns and strategies for UK and international releases. The Polydor roster includes artists such as: Lana Del Rey, Sam Fender, Ellie Goulding, Haim, Olly Alexander, Glass Animals, Becky Hill, Clavish, Elbow, James Blake, Michael Kiwanuka, Kendrick Lamar, Dr Dre, Eminem.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Design and oversee innovative and comprehensive marketing campaigns for Polydor’s key artists, projects and activities
Work alongside the digital marketing team to devise engaging cross-platform digital campaigns, embracing new technologies/platforms and maximising opportunities across paid advertising, organic content, CRM and creator campaigns
Manage individual budgets, keeping in line with agreed spends
Develop successful relationships both within the label internally and externally with artist management teams, creatives, promo teams etc. to maximise campaign effectiveness
Work alongside the international team to produce successful cross-territory marketing initiatives
Have an excellent understanding of the consumption landscape including partner/streaming strategy
Grow Polydor’s e-Commerce revenue with a detailed focus on merchandise and added value product opportunities
Identify new growth areas, fan communities, trends and new potential revenue opportunities, integrating these elements into innovative and engaging marketing campaigns
Nurture fan communities with bespoke activations, events and online/in real life initiatives. Identify trends and be reactive to cultural moments
Collaborate with the creative team on the execution of photo shoots, artwork and all supporting content including videos and shortform
Work with the central insight team to inform campaign planning and identify new revenue streams
Ensure all information is accurately communicated to all departments regarding release plans, changes, developments etc.
Record of successful decision-making to grow artist brand awareness and associated revenue
Have the experience to make crucial campaign decisions across the full marketing remit including financially, creatively, and strategically
Able to establish strong and trusted relationships with artists, artist management and stakeholders throughout Universal
Proven authoritative knowledge of charts, trends, artists and revenue opportunities.
Ability to identify and nurture artist talent
Proven capability to work autonomously, demonstrating the ability to make decisions in a high-stakes environment
Drive, motivation & managerial skills to take high-profile projects successfully from inception to completion, often simultaneously and under pressure
Experience of working with artist of various sizes and budgets from development to platinum-selling
Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and outstanding presentational ability
Previous experience in negotiating with artists, artist management, internal stakeholders and senior management
Prepared to adapt the role and it’s requirements to suit an ever-changing music landscape
