Am I too old to land remote agency work as a copywriter at 43?

I'm an experienced copywriter with nearly 10 years of freelancing behind me, but have recently moved abroad and the panic is setting in. I have a genuine fear of being cast off as too old before anyone reads past the top part of my CV.

I've earned my chops working with a few agencies and local businesses back in the UK, (I worked in TV production and as a teacher before that, hence the 'late' arrival into copywriting) but now that I'm based in Berlin and away from my regular in-house jobs, I'm terrified that my age is going to count against me. It's actually frightening me from even applying to some places in the first instance.

So, am I right to worry like this? Does anyone have any advice to help me make the right impression with hiring teams at agencies?

All advice and encouragement is gratefully received!

Thanks.

Ross
