Any advice on finding freelance video editing work?

Question

I'm pretty new to the world of professional video editing after deciding on a career change a couple of years ago. I'm now in a position where I can more actively look for work but I'm not really sure where to start. I've had a few paid corporate/social media projects but I'm really hoping to find some more consistent jobs and more clients. 
I'd love to eventually find more creative projects to work on such as film and music videos, but I'm guessing I need to build my portfolio before that comes.
Any advice would be amazing!
