Any Sound Engineers or Mixers who can help me mix/give tips for a short track I have?

I have a song that’s just under 2 minutes I want help with mixing. It doesn’t sound right stereo or earphone wise and I’m having trouble fixing it up.

Is there anyone who can help/give some tips on how to do this? I’ll be most grateful!

  • @Eugene McCloskey Thank you so much for the help! I’ll definitely take this information on for future use as well as now. Real insightful stuff!
  • It would help to know what software you are using. If there's an issue with stereo imaging generally speaking don't try to pan/separate tracks or instruments too extremely to left and right. Leave bass sounds in the centre, then pan some instruments slightly to left or right. If there is reverb leave it central, if there are other effects on vocals you could pan the effects slightly to one side whilst leaving the clean vocals panned by the same amount on the other side. If your using automatic chorus it might be sending a 'strange' sound left & right, try turning the effect down or off, similarly if using stereo delay.
I hope that helps, if you want practical help that's a different story...let me know if that is the case. Good luck🙂👍
