Anyone fancy a new role in '22? We're looking for a Website / Digital Marketing Worker! Based in Bristol for a pioneering wholefoods co-op.

Essential Trading have recently launched a new website and are recruiting for a new web/digital marketing worker.

This is a great opportunity for someone relatively new to the industry to develop their skills or someone with more experience to take their career in a new direction, in a vital role within our pioneering worker co-operative.

The successful candidate will be working on maintaining and building upon our wholesale website (Essential), our retail websites (Harvest) and our email campaigns. You will be responsible for helping plan, design and develop strategies to further our online presence, keeping the website updated on a daily basis with content support from the rest of the Marketing Team and ensuring the online catalogue remains up to date, technically correct and includes the most recent product imagery. You will engage and plan new developments requested by other areas of the business, assessing where they can be performed in-house and where they need to be outsourced, taking responsibility for managing the website budget.

This role falls across both the technical and the content management areas of web design. An interest in developing backend workings, such as databases and CMS is essential. The technologies we currently use are .NET, Umbraco, and SQL Server on the wholesale website, Mailchimp for email campaign, and other design software where appropriate. Over time, you would increasingly take ownership of the technical aspects of our sites.

Some knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO) and Google Analytics is desirable. Experience with email campaigning, privacy legislation and general public-facing communication would be advantageous. However, the most important aspect of this role is a willingness to learn and develop all our online platforms to ensure measurable results for the business.
