Do you like this world?

The physical world is a canvas, culture is the artwork performed by mankind. The composition style is liberal. What is wrong with the liberal composition? It contains a provision for freeloading or plagiarism. Ownership is by universal rights, based on authorship. If our art can be stolen from us (plagiarized) our power as creators is taken from us. As artists we ought to start a new culture, a new composition, in which plagiarism is no longer possible. The value added belongs to the author. Author or thief or enabler. These are the categories we are given in this composition. As authors we have an interest in creating a new exhibit in which plagiarism is not permitted. Do you want to know more?

  • @Ibrahim Taguri I am not sure why you would make a distinction between libertarianism and liberalism. Regardless of the term used we need accountability. I see no way to reconcile this with the conventional ideas about freedom. There is only one thing with a chance of working, and that is a cash based economy. We must each pay for what we get and we must all have a sovereign right to what we create/author. This world is so far from this the idea may seem preposterous. All I can say is that such a culture is not possible if we hang onto the assumptions on which this system of things is based. I call these assumptions liberalism. What I mean by this is the idea someone else ought to pay your costs or someone has a claim on what you created. But for a lot of people this is a problem because if we agree to this it means we have no claim on what was not created by us with the realization no person created a single molecule of the natural world. Thus we are forced to accept all natural creation was Created by and belongs to God.
  • This world, the one we live in today is the dying days of an empire. Social fabric is crumbling around us and the institutions that are no longer fit for purpose are being used to entrench the current ruling classes. Our economics, politics, justice systems, provision of education and healthcare no longer work. It’s all broken.

I was once an optimist with a vision for the social change. I know at great personal cost that there is too much corruption in the media and in government for there to be any equilibrium unless it is seized forcibly by those who seek it.
  • With you on the theft of intellectual property but not so sure it has anything to with liberalism. Maybe Libertarianism. That would make more sense to me.
