DONATIONS NEEDED FOR UKRAINIAN FILMMAKER WORKING ON THE GROUND IN NEED OF EDIT KIT.

Question

Factory is supporting the work of a UK based documentary company with links to the Ukraine, in their push to get urgently needed edit kit for fellow filmmakers in the country. Details of the GoFundMe campaign below.

At Factory we know everyone is donating in their own way, and it may be that you've already given as much as you can. If not it would be lovely if we were all able to donate just a little to the cause.

Ukrainian filmmaker friends in Kyiv need kit right now.

They are helping with humanitarian aid in the city and with supplies, but are also documenting what's happening, like the evacuation in the video below. They are under unimaginable stress and doing all they can to help the people of Kyiv and Ukraine.

Simon Mozgovyi, director of The Winter Garden's Tale (2017) and Salt from Bonneville (2021) will be one of the recipients. He and his friends are well respected internationally known filmmakers, and have cameras and other kit, but need edit kit help urgently.

This fund will support the purchase of a laptop and software to enable them to carry out their work.

There are other funds to support these film makers, which I also encourage you to support, but they are larger and may take longer to deliver. The purpose of this fund is to get and send them something they need urgently.
