Question

Pembe & Eflatun is an ecofeminist short sand animation, following the innkeeper couple, Pembe and Eflatun, who open doors to a group of stranded refugee women and children. As the refugees settle in, a series of secrets begin to surface about how the couple has been managing this ex-prison, now inn.

Our award-winning women makers consist of:
Minem Sezgin de Boer (NL) as the producer who also wrote the adapted screenplay,
Alix Bortoli (FR) as the co-director,
Dal Park (DE) as the co-director and 2D animator,
Yujie Xu (CN) as the sand animator,
Dilruba Tayfun (NL) as the art director,
Beril Sarıaltun (TR) as the sound designer and composer,
Hande Ortaç (TR) as the creator of Pembe & Eflatun and consultant for the worldbuilding and script continuity.

For our post-production like distribution and final expenses of sound design, we started a crowdfunding campaign in collaboration with Voordekunst, a wonderful platform for artists to realize their projects.
