I'm looking for a producer to collaborate with on a narrative short film
The project is a Gothic psychological drama that looks at themes around guilt and civilisation.
The story follows Jennifer, a married woman and actress, who one night feels compelled to poison her husband. Once she has done it, she feels incredibly guilty. Over of the course of a night, what is real and what is fake is brought into question, as the part she plays in a theatre play becomes far too real for her liking.
The film will look and feel like a dream and takes inspiration from films like Eyes Wide Shut, Inland Empire and Three Colours Blue. And novels like Crime and Punishment. The shoot will take place in London and I'm aiming to create a richly atmospheric film with a really interesting aesthetic.
It is quite an ambitious project and I am ultimately looking for a collaborator in getting the film made.
