I would like to seek advice or help in pursuing my dream of becoming an editor/ proof-reader.

Question

I would like to start working as a self-employed or freelance? proof-reader and editor remotely. I have an English Language and Communication, New Media and Film degree and some experiences of working as a proof-reader/editor but I am lost on how to start pursuing this dream. I would appreciate any help, advice or recommendations from those who have successfully been able to work within this profession. Thank you all in advance for your time.
