Is it worth getting a CIM or IDM qualification, if you have over 5yrs marketing experience?

  • @Emma O'Driscoll thank you for your response, very helpful. I was planning to self-fund my studies and was doing it for that exact reason, to help in securing more senior roles in the future but to also cement my marketing knowledge especially from a strategic digital marketing POV.
  • Would it be self-funded or would your employer be funding fees?
It often helps when applying for more snr roles or in particular sectors but a diploma for eg can be quite a time commitment. I would say it’s more to show you are capable of studying / applying yourself than showing your actual capabilities for a particular job role. Hope that helps.
