It’d be great if anyone could send over tips for writing copy for a new social media marketing website (or any new biz website)

Specifically, how to nail your service offering and what is important to include in the about me section. I’m struggling with tone of voice, want it to be quite casual but engaging, overall relaxed but get the point across that I know what I’m doing. Thanks!!

  • I write a brief for each article I produce. It's a good discipline that gives structure to your work.

    Questions I ask myself are:
Who is your ideal reader? Is there a specific type of person you have in mind for your website?
What's your angle? Think about what makes you unique; how would you describe you to your ideal reader? What problem are you solving?

There are technical challenges to consider. For example, SEO and readability count. I use http://www.hemingwayapp.com/ to check the clarity of my writing with Grammarly to remove typos and grammar problems.
