Looking for advice about holding craft workshops
During lockdown I started a side business selling macrame home decor pieces and would like to branch out into holding workshops. I don’t have much experience in this, but have attended them and am in the process of putting together some more corporate training workshops for my full time job.
I’d love to hear what you think makes a ‘successful’ workshop and any tips/advice that may out there, especially during these strange circumstances!

- @Ines Cunningham thanks so much - this is super helpful! Enabling them to walk away with something finished is definitely the idea - want them to be proud of what they’ve created! I tried teaching my sisters some macrame and I agree, you definitely do underestimate the time it takes for others to pick things up!
- Hi Millie, I think the most imporant thing is to make the project achievable. I have held (some) and attended many workshops and the best are when you walk away with something finished. Maybe keep a small side project up your sleeve for anybody finishing early. Also from teaching workshops one can underestimate how long it can take a group of people to create something. Showing techniques, explained and the rest really ads up. Hope this helps you!
