Looking for advice on starting out as a freelance stylist - what sort of rate is suitable for someone starting out as a stylist or assistant

    It depends on what it is. Don’t be surprised if someone is doing a shoot for their portfolio, and or an editorial that there will be no rate.
    However, your expenses should be covered which is travel and food.

    Should someone want your assistance on a commercial and profit making project- you should expect anything from minimum wage to £150 per day. I’d say after a few credits, you can then start to ask for more and as your experience grows, beautiful, more confident.
