Call for Submissions: Blossoms and Brushstrokes
Submissions for our upcoming exhibition, Blossoms and Brushstrokes, opens on April 3 and closes on May 1, 2024!
We welcome artistic submissions from individuals between the ages of 18-25 living in and around Cambridgeshire, UK.
We are committed to inclusion and equal opportunities and encourage submissions from individuals of all backgrounds, genders, socio-economic backgrounds, ethnicities,
religions, sexual orientations, and from those who identify as having a disability.
Theme: Nature, As You See It
The theme of this exhibition focuses on nature. Whether you draw inspiration from the lush landscape of forests, the intricate patterns of flora and fauna, or have your own personal interpretation of what nature means, we welcome your unique perspective.
This is an opportunity for self-expression and exploration, inviting artists of all backgrounds to share their vision of the natural world.
Who Can Participate?
This exhibition is open to anyone between the ages of 18-25 living in East Anglia regardless of their level of experience or background in the arts.
Whether you are a recent graduate stepping into the art world for the first time, pursuing a different educational path, or simply seeking to kickstart or showcase your artistic career and talent, we encourage you to submit your work.
Submission Details
Artists are invited to submit three original works for consideration in this exhibition, which will
showcase the beauty and complexity of nature in its myriad forms. We welcome submissions that
authentically capture your interpretation of nature's allure and showcase your individual talent.
Artforms may include:
• Visual art
• Video/short film
• Sculpture
Submission Guidelines
Please submit up to three original works to annabenarii@gmail.com in addition to your name, date of
birth, place of residence, and email address.
The deadline for submissions is 1 May 2024 at 12.00pm
noon. If selected, you must be available to drop off your piece on or before 11.00am on 14 June, in Cambridge City Centre.
The exhibition will run from 14 June to 19 June 2024.
Applicants will be made aware of their application status by 17 May.
Participation
Your work will be featured in a group show which will run from 14 June to 19 June at Cambridge Artworks.
As a featured artist, you will have the opportunity to connect with fellow young creatives and artists who share a passion for the arts and the environment, as well as local arts professionals. In
advance of the exhibition, we will also be hosting a pop-up event local to Cambridge, where you will be able to network and meet fellow artists.
Works featured in the exhibition may also be available for purchase.
