Producer wanted for multiple project applications to the BFI Development Fund and Sundance

"Everyone wants to be the director’s friend and wants the producer to pay for the drinks." - Anonymous Producer

Producers are like gold. They shouldn't just receive the Oscars for best film they should be given medals too. The tasks they complete, the tenacity they show, and the strength with which they defend other peoples creative work is extraordinary. I was one, and frankly I wasn't able to succeed.

After eight years living on a mountain in a tent in Big Sur California honing my writing chops I am entering five separate projects (one TV show and four features) into the BFI Development Fund, Sundance, Equinox Europe and a variety of other funds, labs and competitions. I require first time and seasoned film producers plus a seasoned TV producer to attach themselves to these applications.

They are all quality professional standard products at first draft or better stage with online pitch decks allowing initial or in depth evaluation. Some have cast and other talent attached some are a blank slate. They are all genre pictures. Budgets range from £1.8m to £220m. Locations are mostly UK but also include San Francisco and Hong Kong. There is one Sci-Fi set on multiple fictional planets.

All my projects have something to say.

Please get in touch if you would like to know more.

  • @Foladele Falana-Ngadi Hi Foladele. Thank you for replying to my post. Please drop me a line by email alexis@parentfilms.com as I don't regularly log in to The-Dots. Many thanks in advance and please accept my apologies for not respodong sooner. I had all but given up hope that The Dots was a worthwhile resource! Thanks again.

  • @Azeem Khan Hi Azeem. If the applications are successful there is money in the budget for a producer.
