Recruiting for: Advertisement Designer with a Level 3 Content Creator Apprenticeship
The Planning Handbook is looking for an Advertisement Designer who would also like to complete a Level 3 Content Creator Apprenticeship.
The design position is remote, with full-time (Monday to Friday) hours, paying the National Minimum Wage for Apprentices.
And the course for the apprenticeship, run by the excellent Bauer Academy, lasts 16 months – starting on 4th October 2024 and running in tandem with your role as Advertisement Designer.

The Advertisement Designer will create ads for clients featuring in the print version of The Planning Handbook.
And, as skills develop, the apprentice will, over time, be responsible for creating engaging audio, video, digital (and print) content for The Planning Handbook brand.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a young Advertisement Designer with a passion for online, digital and across-the-board content, too – looking to develop their knowledge, skills and raw expertise in this area – within a successful, creative, positive and supportive team.
The key responsibilities for this post, with immediate effect and for the duration of the course, are to:
- Create, design and deliver engaging advertisements for the print version of the Planning Handbook.
- Assist in the creation, design and delivery of engaging content across a range of platforms.
- Support the production of multimedia content – including video and audio.
- Conduct research into content creation and keep up-to-date with industry trends.
- Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop ideas and content strategies.
- Maintain an organised system for managing content and assets.
Requirements:
- A passion for content creation in both print and digital media.
- Proven ability using the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A strong attention to detail, working to tight deadlines.
- Skilled in time management and project organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with print publishing, social media platforms and content management systems.
- An eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths.
- A Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. media, marketing, journalism) is desirable, but not essential.
