Sound Recordist Needed for Low-Budget Short Film

Hello!

I’m looking for a sound recordist with their own kit to join a small crew on a short film project, shooting on 1st December. Project and role details below.

Project Title: A Lottery Winner

Project Description: A Lottery Winner is a short comedy exploring what happens when Matty, a working class Mancunian, wins a million quid on a scratch card at Christmas.
Writer: Drew Greg
Director: Kate Elliot

Role: Sound Recordist
Responsibilities: We are looking for a sound recordist with their own kit. A total of four actors will need to be mic’d simultaneously for the scene. An additional boom would be ideal but not necessary. You’ll set up and monitor your own audio equipment, capturing dialogue and ambient sound, working closely with the director and DP.

Location: Welwyn Garden City (20-35 minutes train from Finsbury Park/Kings Cross London), in a house location.

Shoot Date: Sunday, 1st December 2024

Compensation: £120 for 6 hours of work + credit.

Requirements: Previous experience in sound recording for narrative or similar would be ideal. Ability to provide own equipment, including 4x lavs if possible (we may be able to supplement with hiring/ borrowing additional mics if you are short by a mic or two!)

Application: Please send a bit about yourself/a CV, kit list, samples of previous work.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
