To all creaters out there that have ADHD how do you manage your creative process and work flow without getting lost or distracted?

  • Actually design is the one area I can focus quite well, it's a shame that ADHD and other issues prevented me from starting a career in this when I was younger. For me it's finding work and staying organised and that type of stuff..... Anyway!

    I found this video interesting

Although I still prefer to do the most difficult things first.

I've been renting a desk space in a quiet art studio recently and it hasn't suited me at all. I'm deffo way happier in cafes or libraries where there's more going on. Kind of the right level of background noise and stuff happening. For me it's way way better to be out of the house, I get so sidetracked otherwise and just miserable.

I'm going to try medication again soon. My experience has been it did make me feel more alert and motivated in some settings. It's a serious thing though, with possible side effects and the potential of abuse / overuse. It's a nice feeling to be on it, a very mild euphoria at first, so I think it needs to be treated with respect. I guess like you can eat too much chocolate or have too much coffee. Not to discourage anyone, but you do need to read the label.

Also "ADHD Friendly Ways To Organise Your Life" by Kolberg and Nadeau is good
  • Hey, funny you should say that, I wrote a blog about this recently. The answer is; with great difficulty. So I've decided to get properly diagnosed as I've heard there are treatments that can really help you focus. How do you manage?
