What is the best way to find an app designer who has strong B2C / Gen Z experience?
It feels like I am looking at a million amazing portfolios - but they are all for big companies / brands and we are a startup, so I dont feel that they overlap........
So I guess the question is - how do I find a UX / UI / App Designer that knows Gen Z and lives and breathes startups???

- First I don´t think that you 100% need designer with specific experience. Most designers can adapt and understand the audience they are designing. Designers need input for their work. User requirements, goals to archive and personas.You may also need 2 different persons. One for visual design and one for UX.You are probably more right that designers who have experience working with big corporations may not be ideal for startups however again this comes back to requirements and goals you set for a designer.However if you are sure that you need specific kind of a designer you may try to reverse engineer. Find apps that meet your requirements and try to search if anyone has published case studies or worked there. Or you could even reach out and was it inhouse job or agency or freelancer. Some companies have team pages and you could contact people and ask maybe they have team member to recommend etc.
